Chemical Use Assessment in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul
Once an individual becomes a guest at Gateway Recovery Center, one of the first steps is to complete a Chemical Use Assessment. Also known as a Rule 25 Assessment, Chemical Dependency Evaluation, or Alcohol Assessment, it is a diagnostic evaluation to determine both the severity of substance use as well as the need for addiction and mental health treatment.
The Chemical Use Assessment is administered by one of Gateway Recovery Center’s compassionate and knowledgeable state-licensed alcohol and drug counselors.
A Chemical Use Assessment is a great place to start your journey to recovery.
Once an Assessment has been completed, a written evaluation is prepared. The evaluation is an important part of determining the appropriate level of care for an individual and helps determine which treatment services will be most effective for long-term recovery.
From that point, a counselor or case manager can create an addiction treatment plan and advise which treatment services are best for you or your loved one. The written evaluation will also assist in determining benefits and receiving approval from your health plan so that everything is properly coordinated before you or your loved one enters a treatment program.
